Overview

The Chitwan National Parc is located in the center of Nepal. It stretches from the foot of the Himalayas to the city of Terai. The Tharu people live in Terai. The Tharu are Hindus. A visit to Terai gives travelers the opportunity to experience the Tharu culture and way of life.

The Chitwan National Parc is characterized by its extraordinarily diverse flora and fauna. Visitors can observe a broad variety of animal species, such as rhinos, crocodiles, monkeys, gray langurs (also known as Hulmans), deer, kingfishers and many other species of birds. With a little luck, you might even get to see a Bengal tiger!

The tour begins in Kathmandu. Participants travel to Chitwan by bus or jeep. The standard tour lasts three days (two nights in a hotel). It includes a jungle safari with elephants or by jeep, a visit to the village of Tharu, a tour with traditional wooden boats on the Rapti River, a trip to an elephant farm, and a jungle walk. Countless animals and birds can be observed on both the jungle walk and the jungle safari.

The Chitwan National Park offers travelers vast numbers of excursion options. A longer visit is more than recommended!

Visiting the pristine town of Bandipur (1,300 m) is an absolute necessity for anyone interested in Nepalese culture. Here you will find typical Nepalese architecture reflecting the history of the city. In addition, one is surrounded by a stunning view of the Manaslu (8,156 m), one of the highest mountains in Nepal, as well as gorgeous rice fields all throughout the valley.

Overview

The trekking can be rounded off particularly well with a visit to the idyllic city of Pokhara. Pokhara (1,400 m above sea level) is located in central Nepal next to Lake Phewa. It is surrounded by a breathtaking panorama of the Himalayas. There are various activities to choose from. Under others, you can relax on a boat tour in typical Nepalese wooden boats on the beautiful lake. Those who prefer to be a little more active can explore the area by mountain bike or foot.

Rafting – Trishuli River

Overview

The Trishuli River is one of Nepal’s most popular rafting rivers.

The river is formed up of the snow melt of Mt. Ganesh and Langtang Himal.

The drive via the Prithivi Highway is only approximately 80km from Kathmandu making for a nice easy journey, another important highlight about the location is that it’s also easily accessible from Pokhara and Chitwan which can provide you with a longer adventure if you choose our add on package/s.

Trishuli River is the most adventurous river rafting activity in Nepal, with spectacular views and surrounds of the forest and wilderness you will be certain to capture some stunning photos!
